Martin High School is one of the best performing schools in the country, with pupils constantly achieving high academic results.
They came to us needing a replacement for their onsite mail server, which was home to over 1000 active accounts for both students and staff.
After a detailed on-site survey by one of our senior technicians, we identified the requirements for their new server as well as highlighting a few issues and concerns with their current network and directory – which could impact the migration process to the new server.
With the project having multiple steps that needed to be completed in a specific order, we drew up a clear and easy-to-understand schedule for the network & director corrections, as well as the staged migration, and waited until school term had finished minimising disruption.
Once ready, the schedule was executed step by step and a new online Office 365 exchange server was set up for the school, using DirSync to synchronise local user details with Office 365.
Once students and staff returned to the school, we undertook an ongoing support contract to assist them with support queries regarding the new server configuration. All support was provided in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption for the students.
Because of our simple, and stress-free approach, additional one-off work has also been undertaken including replacing their existing firewall, configuring a proxy server and modifying their structured cabling.
Are you a school looking to replace or improve your existing mail server? Maybe you’re looking for a support partner that you can rely on to fix your issues as and when they arise? We understand how important it is that IT works for your students and staff. Book your 30-minute discovery session today to find out how we can take the stress out of IT for you.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Halchax IT Solutions. We will certainly be using them for our future IT projects.
How-Chan arrived on the agreed date and got straight to work on migrating all the users. As a school we have over 1000 users and any problems that How-Chan came across were dealt with quickly. How-Chan would also explain exactly what he was doing and had no hesitation in sharing his abundant knowledge.
